Fruit AHAs – aka alpha hydroxy acids. A classic ingredient that never disappoints. Considered a chemical exfoliant, these acids actually offer a gentle and highly effective way of removing dead skin. Think of them as skin refreshers that do an amazing job of promoting cell turnover and sweeping away surface cells so fresh, new, radiant skin comes can to the surface. Hello, silky, smoother skin! Bonus – this healthy exfoliation action also supports the production of collagen and elastin. We love that.

Willow Bark Extract

Considered a BHA (beta hydroxy acid), this skin-improving acid goes a little deeper than AHAs, really helping to deeply clear out pores. Derived from the bark of the willow tree, this soothing extract is rich in salicin. Fun fact – salicin is the natural source of pore-clearing salicylic acid and it’s also great for keeping hair follicles clear and discouraging ingrown hairs.

Vitamin C Ester – This ingredient continues to be the darling of the skincare world – and with good reason. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin C is known for its bright-boosting benefits and its power to address uneven skin and help fade dark spots. In order to reap these benefits though, you need a stable form of Vitamin C, which can be tricky because of its volatile nature.
