Sol de Janeiro Body Cream Cheat Sheet

How do you know which body care products are best for you?

We’re here to help! Here’s a cheat sheet to help you find your perfect match based on your preferences in fragrance, textures, and unique benefits.

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Superpower: Caffeine is well known in the skincare world to help with the appearance of firmer, tighter skin (hence, the caffeine craze we’ve seen in eye creams). Brazilian Bum Bum Cream contains guaraná extract, which is a Brazilian fruit that contains 5x the amount of caffeine than coffee. Gives the appearance of firmer, smoother thighs and booty, and instantly peps up dull, lackluster skin.

Fragrance: Warm and delicious. Notes of salted caramel and pistachio so deliciously complex that strangers on the street won’t be able to help but disrupt your double-Airpodded-self to say, “So sorry to bother you, but WHAT is your scented body lotion?"

It’s Bum Bum, baby.

My first-reach for: Vacation. Date night. A mandatory ritual for the first day of daylight savings when it gets dark at 4pm. (Summer-withdrawal is TOO REAL. A body cream that will moisturize AND provide emotional support? I’ll take 12, please).

Coco Cabana Cream

Superpower: Combatting dry, scaly, and ashy winter skin and providing 72 hours of hydration with ingredients like nourishing coconut oil and fermented sugar, which locks in moisture. Don’t let the lack of shimmer fool you - you’ll get an instant hydration boost.

Fragrance: Delectable and sophisticated. It has notes of young green coconut cream, tropical orchid, and toasted praline - making the fragrance closer to authentic coconut rather than the one you grew up with during your tweenage years.

My first-reach for: Ski trip. #SelfCareSolDay. Cozy movie night. (Move over, Netflix & Chill. It’s time for Hulu & Hydrate).

Açaí Body Power Cream

Superpower: Best for acting as a forcefield against environmental stressors and pollution. The antioxidants found in the superfood açaí fight off free radicals (daily pollution).

The peachy mica provides an instant glow, making it look like you just walked your #flawless self out of a Vinyasa yoga class.

Fragrance: Crisp & clean. This fresh floral fragrance transports you to the middle of a lush, Brazilian rainforest.

My first reach for: Days in the city (aka a bubble of car exhaust, germs, and random unidentified floaters?). Stressful days when I’m in need of some peaceful aromatherapy.

Brazilian Nude Cream

Superpower: The ultimate reset-button. Unscented and shimmer-free, this cream’s sole focus is to moisturize and comfort your skin with soothing ingredients like Brazilian Passionflower and Colloidal Oatmeal.

This is a great way to give extra attention to mildly irritated or sensitive skin.

My first reach for: Low-key Saturdays. Dressing up the bathroom before having guests (I mean have you SEEN this gorgeous packaging?). Every day in January.

Just like multi-masking, we’d like to introduce you to multi-moisturizing.

Here's an example of my current regimen:

Sol-rise (daytime):

- Brazilian Bum Bum Cream on torso, tummy, and of course- my bum bum!

- Coco Cabana Cream on arms, legs (I get really dry shins in the winter), and hands (don’t forget the cuticles).

Sol-set (nighttime):

- Brazilian Nude on my upper arms and thighs for my KP (keratosis pilaris) - it has been a SAVIOR.

- Açaí Body Power Cream everywhere else. (Ideally, I’d be falling asleep in a Brazilian oasis every night, but this is as close as I’ll get for now).
