Taking a shower is pretty much a part of daily life. A necessity for sure, and if we’re lucky, a pleasure and maybe something we look forward to. End of story, right?

Bring up the shower topic with your Brazilian friend and you may be in for some surprises – and lots of deep thoughts about the common shower.
Turns out, there’s nothing common about showers in Brazil. For starters, whoever said one shower a day is enough? In Brazil, taking several showers a day is totally the norm. Yes, a warmer climate has a lot of influence here and showering is often the quickest way to refresh, but taking a shower is never seen as a chore. Showering is fun and maybe the best way to check in with your body, show it some attention, and it’s also the perfect time to pamper your skin. That does sound pretty good.
So, how many showers are we talking, and what’s happening in these Brazilian showers?
Some might consider their morning shower their main shower, while others see their evening shower as the main event (and a great way to wash off the day and go to bed sparkly clean). This of course is a matter of personal choice, however, there’s usually a morning shower and a night shower. Whichever one you want to luxuriate in (and have more time for) is the one where you shower yourself with extra attention (literally).
