When we first created Sol de Janeiro, our dream was to bring you an experience of absolute joy and positivity. It brings us joy to make you smile.

That’s why all our products are made not only with love but also the very best ingredients, formulas and fragrances. This will never change because bringing you the best is at the heart of everything we do. But there are some developments that we cannot ignore as a company that we want to share with you now.

The high quality ingredients we use – many of them Brazilian, and ethically sourced – are now much more costly then when we first started – up to 5x more. Sourcing and receiving these precious ingredients is more challenging than ever with freight and shipping costs rising and supply chains impacted. Despite these challenges, we have never considered changing or compromising in any way the products we know and love. It’s important for us to stay true to our vision and our promise to touch your lives with the best, brightest, most benefit-rich experiences – worthy of you and made to celebrate you to the fullest.

So, after much thought and careful consideration, we have – for the first time since the debut of our brand – made the decision to raise our prices on our full size body creams to allow us to better meet these challenges. Our pricing changes will go into effect on March 25, 2022.

We thank you for your understanding and for your support and we’re grateful for the many expressions of love and self-love you have generously shared with us while on this journey with us. This inspires us every day.
