When translated from Portuguese, Sol de Janeiro means “Sun of January,” which is so fitting since the seasons are totally flipped. While North America is bundling up for winter, Brazilians are experiencing peak summer temperatures. Yes, summer is at its best in January! P.s. it’s okay to be a little jealous.
